Huhtamaki Future SmartTM is a range of plant based products. The 100% renewable plant based materials used in Future SmartTM products contain no carbon content older than 100 years as verified by the 14C carbon dating method. Future SmartTM paper products are 100% GMO free and made of paperboard from PEFC certified renewable sources.
Huhtamaki Future SmartTM paper cup eliminates the use of materials from fossil based petrochemicals and is the first cost economical cup with bio based lining for moisture barrier. It´s a giant leap forward in sustainability.
Future SmartTM coating is sugarcane ethanol based polyethylene (PE). While retaining the performance characteristics of a traditional PE, it can be used in a variety of applications for hot and cold beverages, ice cream and takeout food.
